5.
A building has 200 rooms and 4 floors. If each floor has same number of rooms, find the number of rooms in each floor.
 a. 60 b. 75 c. 50 d. 40

Solution:

Number of rooms in a building = 200

Number of floors in the building = 4

Number of rooms in each floor = number of rooms ÷ number of floors = 200 ÷ 4

20 ÷ 4 = 5
200 ÷ 4 = 50

Number of rooms in each floor = 50.

Number of pages in the novel = 160

Number of pages Mr.Steve reads per day = 8

Number of days Mr.Steve takes to complete the novel = number of pages in the novel ÷ number of pages Mr.Steve reads per day = 160 ÷ 8

16 ÷ 8 = 2
160 ÷ 8 = 20

So, number of days that Mr.Steve takes to complete the novel is 20.
